Nigella Roast chicken w/ chorizo

Another Nigella's recipe :)
I know I know... almost all of the recipe in this blog belongs to her..
I admire her simplicity and passion towards foods hence my several try-out on her recipes..

well, this is the original shopping list taken from her website, I halved the quantity to serve 4 :
  • 2 x 15ml tablespoons regular olive oil
  • 12 chicken thighs (bone in, with skin)
  • 750g chorizo sausages, whole if baby ones, or cut into 4cm chunks if regular-sized
  • 1kg new potatoes, halved
  • 2 red onions, peeled and roughly chopped
  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano grated
  • zest 1 orange
Steps:
Pre-heat oven to 200C (fan forced), Drizzle olive oil into the roasting tin..
Rub the chicken with the olive oil and turn skin side up...
Scatters chorizo, onion and potato around the chicken..
Sprinkle orange zest and oregano over the ingredients..
Cook (roast) for around 45 minute until cooked through, chicken juice will run clear, and baste the ingredients occasionally with juices from the roasting tin..


ps: I forgot to baste and turns quite dry and a bit tasteless.. will try my second attempt soon

so there you go, a one pot/tin roast chicken for scrumptious dinner :)
